Lindsay Kruger was a leading Australian saddlemaker in Maleny, Queensland in the 1980s and 1990s. This is an example of one of his purpose-made endurance saddles, with features that are still common in endurance saddles today such as the Y girth straps for adjustable girth positioning; extended 2-buckle girth attachment; fenders that can be removed and replaced with stirrup leathers; arch and gap at the front (very important for the comfort of male riders!), multiple equipment dees and of course the drink bottle holder. This saddle belonged to Cliff Bailey whose horse Mindari Aeneas was exported to the UAE in 2002.
